At ECS, our journey with heat pump technology began two decades ago. Over the years, we have worked with a vast array of configurations and brands, gaining deep insight into what makes a system truly reliable versus one that simply looks good on paper.

However, for the past five years, we have been on a specific quest: to find a system that seamlessly integrates into our design philosophy while delivering exceptional performance right out of the box. Our criteria were strict. We needed a solution that could deliver a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of over 4 off the shelf, without requiring hours of complex fine-tuning.

We believe that the search for perfection has finally paid off.

We are proud to announce that ECS is now distributing KRONOTERM domestic hot water heat pumps throughout Spain. In KRONOTERM, we have found a partner that matches our technical standards and, crucially, shares our commitment to European craftsmanship.

European Heritage, Family Values

KRONOTERM is not a faceless multinational. It is a family-run company from Slovenia with a tradition dating back to 1976, when its founder, Rudi Kronovšek, developed his first sanitary heat pump. For nearly 50 years, they have built a reputation as one of the few true specialists in the field, evolving from a small workshop into a leading developer for demanding markets like Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.

For ECS, supporting local European industry is a core belief. We chose KRONOTERM because they are a developer and manufacturer in one. They don’t just assemble parts; they conduct in-house research, development, and production at their facility in Gomilsko. This gives them complete oversight of every component, ensuring impeccable build quality that mass-market Asian competitors often struggle to match.

Validated by the Industry’s Best

We aren’t the only ones impressed by this obsession with detail. While our internal standards are high, KRONOTERM’s performance is backed by the most rigorous independent testing bodies in the industry.

Their technology has been confirmed by accredited institutes such as the Swiss WPZ and the German TÜV Rheinland, which have previously rated these DHW heat pumps as the best in Europe. With additional quality assurance from Bureau Veritas and EHPA (European Heat Pump Association) membership, these systems carry a pedigree of reliability few can match.

ESSENTA

Our requirement for a COP over 4 led us directly to the ESSENTA line. It represents a “new definition of efficiency” and is the primary reason we are bringing this technology to the Spanish market.

  • Exceptional Efficiency: The ESSENTA boasts a COP of 4.16, meaning it generates more than 4 kW of heat from just 1 kW of electricity. This meets our high-performance standards immediately.

  • True Plug-and-Play: Designed to be “set and forgotten,” the ESSENTA adapts to the space rather than the other way around. Its smart, flexible connections allow for quick installation even in tight spaces.

  • Silence: It features a structurally separated compressor and aerodynamically designed interior, making it one of the quietest devices in its class.

Why Switch?

By partnering with KRONOTERM, ECS offers Spanish homeowners and businesses a way to drastically reduce costs and increase comfort:

  • Massive Savings: These systems can reduce hot water costs by up to 4 times those of traditional heating.

  • Free Cooling: While heating water, the pump captures heat from the air, thereby cooling and dehumidifying the room (e.g., a pantry or wine cellar) at no additional cost.

  • Hygiene: All models feature anti-Legionella programs that heat water to 60°C or higher to ensure safety.

We invite you to experience the difference that 50 years of European tradition—and our own 20-year search for perfection—can make in your home.
